4. Jatropha Biodiesel has a high cetane number. Cetane number is a measure of a fuel's ignition quality.
The high cetane numbers of Biodiesel contribute to easy cold starting and low idle noise.
5. Jatropha Biodiesel replaces the exhaust odor of petroleum diesel with a more pleasant smell.
Seeds have an oil content of 34% - 38%. About 2.8 Kg of seeds give 1 Kg of oil and 1.05 Kg of oil is required to produce 1 Kg of bio-diesel.
Bio-diesel produced from Jatropha oil can be blended up to 20% with petrol or diesel without modifying the engine. We have secured market from many oil companies who have expressed and have agreed to buy the entire production by us from our clients for whom MJI has developed the plantations.
