Mr.Stephen Michael – Non Executive Chairman

Stephen, the Non Executive Chairman of MJI Group is an electrical consultant and the founder of SM Engineers and Consultants (SMEC), India established in 1988. He has over 30 years experience in Project Designs and is actively engaged in Designing High Voltage Substations, Medium Voltage Installations, Lighting Installations, etc. SMEC is a renowned name in India and Europe for their consultancy work. He sits on board of MJI Group as the Financial and Business advisor.

Mr.John Mervin Joshua –Chairman / Lead Technical Consultant

Mervin Joshua, the founder and director of the company, initiated establishment of the company’s operations in India and Malaysia. Mervin holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the Charles Sturt University, Australia, and leads the corporate and technical operations of the Group. He currently heads Jatropha plantation projects in India, Malaysia and Sri Lanka, with both upstream and downstream planning and execution. He is extensively trained in the field of Jatropha with hands on experience in the plantation sector. He is also the technical consultant for numerous Jatropha projects.

Paul Sudhakar – Operations Director

Paul is based at the MJI™ headquarters in Chennai, India. Prior to this he held senior management position with AFL. Paul has an array of credentials to his career having been in the logistics field for more than 25 years with a wide exposure in Middle East and India. At MJI he and his team have a success formula to have shipped Jatropha products to all the continents, taking into consideration the specialized way of packing and storage by which they preserve the quality of the seeds and oil for long hauling journeys by ship.

Dr. Samuel – R&D Director (Plantation Execution)

Dr. Sam, our Nutrients and Microbes specialist, has sound knowledge on plants maintenance and he and his team have formulated a few Microbes and Nutrients which are tailor made to suit the needs of Jatropha. Many of our clients have expressed their joy of seeing the yield improvement in Jatropha by using MJI™ Nutrients and Microbes. Sam is well experienced in analyzing the various factors that could affect the growth of Jatropha and has derived solutions for the same. Along with MJI™, he provides total solution on weeding, pesticides, PGR’s, application of NPK’s, Nutrients and Microbes. He and his team provide on site training and development sessions for farmers and field workers on the application process.

Mr.Suresh – Agronomist

Suresh is our chief agronomist, has more than 15 years experience in Jatropha Cultivation and a total of 25 years experience in agriculture. He is a visiting faculty member for the Agricultural University India. Suresh, one of the pioneers in the Jatropha field in India, has appeared in many programs and magazines. He has also been the Guest Speaker at numerous agricultural conferences both in India and Abroad. He also holds the experience of cultivating elite variety of Jatropha using MJI high-yielding technology.
